Post insights enabled
on an xplan site

nostalgic for the help menu

You may have noticed and experienced the progressive rollout of the IRESS Insights community into XPLAN.

Once your xplan site is insights enabled it has a very subtle change to the system whereby clicking the ‘Help’ button in XPLAN, no longer pops up the actual help menu but instead takes us to the insights community.

Let’s be clear

the Insights community can be a valuable resource for xplan users but just from my own experience, there are times I want quick, direct access to actual help and there are other times when I was to discover and discuss.

Fortunately there’s a small trick

We can’t click help anymore but we can still access it via the url. 

Simply append: /help/index.html to the end of your xplan url as such:

https://yourxplansite.xplan.iress.com.au/help/index.html
