Handy shortcut for all users especially admins

Simply press CTRL + SHIFT + F

Whether you’re a power user or just looking for that buried menu item, this can help.

From anywhere in XPLAN just press the following keys together to pull up the instant search menu: CTRL + SHIFT + F.

Struggling to find your way around the 101 menu options in system settings for example? The built in quick find has got your back. See it in action helow:

Does it work on any page?

Yes.

It reads all the links from the page you are on to drive the search, so whether you are in the system settings or a client menu, you can find results.

How long has this been here?

A long time now.

This originally came from an IRESS Hackathon project that ended up making it in. It’s not the most talked about function but handy for all users and especially for administrators looking after multiple sites where the client menu’s are different on each site!

Is there a button to access this?

Yes the little magnifying glass you see next to the quick links button, brings up this function.
